Circle J - de biografie
Circle J speelt haar met folk doordrenkte punk sinds 2002. De aanstekelijke mix van stampende punk en folky meezingers wint nationaal en internationaal steeds meer terrein. Het eerste volwaardige album 'Fat Man's Chest' (2007) is zeer goed ontvangen door zowel recensenten als folkpunkfans. De cd schopte het tot de top 20 album lijst van Paddyrock.com en OOR noemde het "de leukste punkplaat sinds lange, lange tijd".Recentelijk verscheen 'Weekend Warriors' (2010), een tweede schat aan folkpunkparels met een ontzagwekkend arsenaal aan drums, scheurende bas en gitaren, doedelzak, accordeon, banjo, mandoline, dwarsfluit en tin whistle, dat je ademloos en dorstend naar meer zal achterlaten. Live knettert het vijftal van de energie en het plezier. Als publiek staat je eigenlijk maar één ding te doen: pot bier in de hand, vuist in de lucht, en meebrullen maar!
Circle J betrad het podium in een groot aantal zalen en op festivals in de Benelux, Duitsland, Engeland en Spanje, waaronder Tivoli Utrecht, Paradiso en Melkweg Amsterdam, 013 Tilburg, Rockhal (LU), het Paard Den Haag, Oosterpoort Groningen, Wild at Heart Berlijn (DE), Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, Endorse it in Dorset festival (GB), Puelles Rock (ES), Paaspop Schijndel en Festival Mundial Tilburg.
Circle J deelde het podium onder andere met Dropkick Murphys (US), The Levellers (GB), The Real McKenzies (CA), Less Than Jake (US), Neck (GB), Blood or Whiskey (IE), The Mahones (CA), Pronghorn (GB), The Dreadnoughts (CA), Skontra (ES), Mr. Irish Bastard (DE) en Jason Webley (US).

Circle J - the biography
Circle J have been playing their folk infused punk since 2002. Their infectious mix of stomping punk and sing-along folktales has been steadily gaining momentum. Their first full-blown album ‘Fat Man’s Chest’ (2007) made Paddyrock.com’s top 20 album list and was well-received among critics and folk punk fans alike. It was followed up by the recent ‘Weekend Warriors’ (2010), another treasure trove of folk punk pearls featuring an awe-inspiring arsenal of battle drums, roaring bass and guitars, bagpipes, accordion, banjo, mandolin, cross flute and tin whistle that will knock your socks off and leave you thirsty for more. ‘Weekend Warriors’ will see the band crashing the shores of Japan and may well have them storming a stage near you.On stage, this fearsome fivesome sparkles with energy and fun. So sharpen your axes, put on your dancin’ boots and join the Mighty Circle J for a fine bout of folk punk frenzy.
